Third golf tournament of Golf Club Bulgaria and Forton

The day is sunny, even hot....But it didn’t stop the golf lovers to show their best and to compete in the third golf tournament of Golf club Bulgaria.

The date is 28.08.2011, the place is Pirin Golf & Country Club, the reason is the third golf tournament of the series of “Golf Club Bulgaria and Forton International” and the goal is to win in the competition of 18 holes.

The series of the tournaments is more than impressive for golfers and partners. The participants that took part in the event were 78 and twenty of them were new golfers, future champions.

In division A ( handicap to 12.4 ) first place was for Nevyan Simeonov with 78 strokes “ gross” and 68 strokes “net”. Second ranked Lubomir Kostov who is one of the talents in golf  with 81 strokes “ gross” and 76 strokes “ net”. Just with few strokes more Alexander Evtimov won third place with 87 strokes “gross” and 79 strokes “net”.

In division B, the winner is Petar Stratiev with 41 net Stableford points, next tournament he will be moved in division A.  The second place is for Alexander Nenkov- a student in National Sports Academy with 39 net Stableford points and third one is for Grigory Grigorov wit 37 points.

First in divisin C ranked Kiril Krastev with 44 net Stableford points, who is establishing as a new talent in the golf in Bulgaria.  He is followed by Nikolay Diankov with 43 net Stableford points and Anton Panayotov with 39 points.

Participants in the golf tournament were surprised by the changes on the course- different holes for Longest drive and Nearest to the pin. Longest drive was on 14th hole- 300 meters far away from the tee box achieved by Vladislav Marinov. The prize for Nearest to the pin on the shortest hole on the golf course- hole 6 ( Par 3 ) on Pirin Pine golf course won Nevyan Simeonov just 0.9 m. from the flag.

All golfers enjoyed the selected wines provided by Domaine Boyar situated on  2 holes on the golf course.

It is important to remember the other surprise at the end of the series of tournament. Golfers who took part at list in 4 tournaments from 6 can win the prize “Golf weekend at Costa Navarino, Greece “ for TWO, provided by Bulgarian Golf Tours and Costa Navarino.
