Diplomats and businessmen in controversial contest on Stella Artois Golf Open – Golf Tournament for amateurs
Razlog, 18 of July 2010. A Golf Tournament for amateurs Stella Artois Golf Open was held at Pirin Golf & Country Club this weekend. The event was promoted for the first time and gathered 40 participants total, representatives of diplomatic corps and business in our country. All of them were showing off impressive skills and masterly control of the club.
The Belgian beer brand Stella Artois is a partner in the Golf Contest. Supporting prestigious initiatives is a part of the premium brand’s policy.

Striving for the prestigious sport joined the efforts of 40 participants, including the Japanese Ambassador, N. PR Tsuneharu Takeda, accompanied by his wife Kimiko Takeda and their friends.
The Golfers competed in three divisions - 1st Division – up to 18,4 handicap, 2nd Division – from 18,5 to 36 handicap and 3rd Division – from 37 to 54 handicap. In each one of the categories were announced the winners of the first, second and third place.
The winner of the first division was the Dutchman Gijs Bernow, followed by Nishoka Shuichiro and Radoslav Rashev (Sofia Golf Club). First place in the second division is Vladimir Mihaylov with runners-up Igor Rimmer and Bozhidar Spassov (Pirin Golf & Country Club members). Award in the third division took the Macedonian priest Naum Ilievski. Angelinka Kozhuharova and Alexander Chakmakov ranked after him.
Furthermore, awards from the promoters, all finalists in Stella Artois Golf Open received also special gifts from Stella Artois Brand.
The famous Belgian beer was an integral part of the spirit and atmosphere of Stella Artois Golf Open. The brand with seven centuries tradition was a perfect addition to the real golf experience, which refreshed the participants after the tournament and the hot summer day. |
