

Pirin Golf & Country Club officially opened the Golf Season 2010 on April 3rd, followed by a cocktail organized for the awarding ceremony. Enthusiastic gofers arrived even on Friday and started intensive preparation for the tournament on the practice range. The weather was sunny during the whole day and the participants truly enjoyed the golf play amidst the surroundings of the Pirin Mountain.
45 golfers took part in the Golf Season Opening tournament, among them were the Slovak Ambassador Karol Mistrik, the Indonesian Ambassador Immanuel Robert Inkriwang and the new Korean Ambassador Bee-Ho Chun , accompanied by their wives.
The participants were divided into three divisions: division А (HCP 0 – 18), they played format Medal; Division B (HCP 19 – 36) and С (HCP 37 – 54), they played format Stableford Individual.
The second tournament in the Easter weekend was held on April 4th- a challenge for experienced golfers and beginners – Easter “ Life-line” Tournament. The format of the event was announced by the Golf Director- Individual Stableford with additional relief. Each participant received a “life- line” with length, relevant to his Handicap, to use as additional relief.
Some of the golfers fully enjoyed the thread, but most of them showed their best without using it. First in division A, B and C were again Oleg Chernev, Slav Sirijski and Igor Rimmer.
For the most patient participants was organized a raffle. The special prize -two green fees with an electric golf cart was won by Lubomir Minchev.
Pirin Golf Academy hosted the Easter Beginners Course on April 5th for those who would like to get their first steps in golf.
